The ring-shaped takes you out west from Clifden, through the Kingston peninsula, and back into Clifden. Stretched 16 km long gives unconquerable views of the Connemara countryside, the Islands, the Atlantic Ocean, and the coastline.

Clifden Castle is a ruined manor house built by Clifden’s founder John D’Arcy c. 1810. Clifden Castle was once D’Arcy’s residence.

Kylemore Abbey

Kylemore Abbey is a Benedictine monastery founded in 1920 on the grounds of Kylemore Castle, in Connemara Ireland. The abbey was founded for Benedictine nuns who fled Belgium in WWI.
